48 Hour showcase weekend for Sky digital subscribers

Any SKY digital residential subscriber can view Rialto Channel’s 48 HOUR SHOWCASE on the weekend of April 12 and April 13.

From midnight on Friday April 11, a compelling range of feature films, documentaries, and short films can be viewed by Sky digital subscribers for 48 hours, including the exclusive television premiere screening of:

PAN’S LABYRINTH – WINNER OF 3 ACADEMY AWARDS

Viewers can immerse themselves in the highest calibre of films, documentaries and short films including THE SHIPPING NEWS starring Kevin Spacey, Julianne Moore and Judi Dench, and Pedro Almodovar’s classic VOLVER, starring Penelope Cruz. Neil Jordan’s dramatic THE WIND THAT SHAKES THE BARLEY and the French thriller 36 QUAI DES ORFEVRES starring Gerard Depardieu and Daniel Auteuil will also feature.

Must-see documentaries showing include TO BE AND TO HAVE, the French documentary portrait of a one-room school in rural France, where the students are educated by one dedicated teacher, and BLIND SPOT: HITLER’S SECRETARY featuring interview footage with Traudl Junge, one of Hitler’s personal secretaries during World War II.
