Understanding Tax for Actors & Freelancers

Gosling Chapman are running a Tax Course for Actors and Freelancers next Tuesday evening.

The course will cover tax issues for small businesses and self employed people in the creative industry – specifically actors and freelancers. Topics covered will include:

Deductibility of expenses – what you can claim and what you cannot claim
GST
Provisional Tax
Tools available on the IRD website to assist you with your tax requirements
Use of companies and trusts – the advantages these entities offer

The workshops are interactive and participants are encouraged to ask questions to clarify their own understanding.

The course will be held on the 27th of February from 6pm to 9pm at WHK Gosling Chapman, Level 6, 51 – 53 Shortland Street, Auckland City.
